Manage LVE Limits
Overview
You can manage the LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment) limits for your hosting packages and for individual user accounts using the CloudLinux Manager. CloudLinux™ is an operating system that features advanced resource management. WP Squared exclusively uses CloudLinux for their proprietary LVE technology that ensures a user can never use more than their allocated resources.
Why set LVE limits?
Setting LVE limits keeps things running smoothly on a shared server. Think of it as making sure everyone gets their fair share of resources - like CPU, RAM, and disk I/O. By setting limits, no single user can monopolize all the resources and slow things down for others. It’s a way to keep your server stable, secure, and performing well for everyone using it.
How to set limits
Set limits for a single account
You can manage a single account’s LVE limits in the CloudLinux Manager interface. To change the default limits, read the CloudLinux Manager UI documentation.
Set limits for multiple accounts
You can create a new package with custom LVE limits. Use the LVE Settings option under Package Extensions when adding a new package. Then, you can assign this package to your user accounts.
For information on creating and managing packages, read our Manage Package Options documentation.
Types of limits you can manage
For the types of LVE Limits you can manage, read CloudLinux Manager’s LVE limits documentation.
