Manage WP Squared accounts

Overview

You can easily manage, suspend, and terminate WP Squared accounts using the WHM interface.

Manage accounts

You can use WHM’s List Accounts interface to manage your WP Squared accounts.

Search accounts

You can search your accounts using WHM’s List Accounts interface. The search text box and filters allow you to refine the list of accounts using the following options:

  • Search For – To search for accounts using a specific keyword, enter a search term in the search text box.

  • Search By – To search for accounts using one the following options, select the corresponding button:

    • Username/Domain — Search for a username or domain name that contains your search term.
    • Domain — Search for a domain name that contains your search term.
    • Username — Search for a username that contains your search term.
    • Reseller/Owner — Search a reseller or owner name that contains your search term.
    • Package — Search for a package name that contains your search term.
    • IP Address — Search for an IP address that contains your search term.
  • Filter By — To filter the list of accounts using one the following filters, select the corresponding button:

    • None — Do not apply an additional filter.
    • Suspended — Include only accounts that are currently suspended.

To list accounts using your entered search term and selected filters, click Find or Apply Filter. To clear your search, click Reset.

Update an account password

You can change an account password using WHM’s List Accounts interface. To change an account’s password, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the plus icon () to view the available actions for the associated account.
  2. Enter the desired password in the Change Password textbox and click Change.

Select the Enable Digest Authentication checkbox to enable Digest Authentication support.

Change an account email

You can change an account email using WHM’s List Accounts interface. To change an account’s email address, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the plus icon () to view the available actions for the associated account.
  2. Enter a new address in the Change Email Account textbox and click Change.
Important:

The Reset Password feature uses this email address to verify the account user’s identity. If you do not set the contact email address, the user cannot use the Reset Password feature.

Change an account package

You can change an account package using WHM’s List Accounts interface. To change an account’s package, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the plus icon () to view the available actions for the associated account.
  2. Click Change Plan. The Upgrade/Downgrade an Account interface will appear.
  3. Select the new package from the menu.
    Note:
    Click the magnifying glass icon (magnifying glass icon) to view the configuration of any package in the list.
  4. Click Upgrade/Downgrade.

Suspend/Unsuspend an account

You can suspend and unsuspend a WP Squared account in one of the following ways:

  • Use WHM’s List Accounts interface. To suspend an account, click the plus icon (Plus) to view the available actions for the associated account. Then, enter a reason in the text box and click Suspend. To reinstate the account, select Unsuspend.
  • Use WHM’s Manage Account Suspension interface. To suspend an account, select the Domain or Username, enter a reason, and click Suspend. To reinstate the account, select Unsuspend.

Terminate accounts

If you terminate an account, the system will completely remove it from your server.

Warning:
  • You cannot undo account termination. When you terminate an account, the system permanently deletes that account’s data.
  • You must manually remove the account’s backups or move them to another server. This action prevents an account collision if you add a new account with a previous account user’s username.

You can terminate an account or multiple accounts.

Terminate an individual account

You can terminate an individual account using WHM’s List Accounts interface. To terminate an individual account, perform the following steps:

  1. Click the plus icon () to view the available actions for the associated account.
  2. Click Terminate Account. The Terminate Accounts interface will appear.
  3. Click Yes, delete this account to confirm that you wish to remove the account.

Terminate multiple accounts

You can terminate multiple accounts using WHM’s Terminate Accounts interface. To terminate multiple accounts from your server, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the checkboxes that correspond to the accounts that you wish to remove. To keep a domain’s DNS zone on your server, select the associated checkbox in the Keep DNS Zone column.
  2. Click Remove selected accounts.
  3. Click Yes, delete these accounts.
