How to Preview Your Website Before Your Domain is Ready

Overview

A preview link lets you view your website in preview mode. You can use a preview link to view your website immediately, before you finalize your domain settings.

When you enable your preview link, the system displays a banner on the preview site and sends a notification with links to the preview and settings.

Important:

You cannot enable a preview link while using a temporary domain.

To enable a preview link, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Settings interface (Manage Website > Settings).
  2. Enable the Use my preview link toggle.

After you enable the preview link, a Preview Link Enabled notification will appear. This notification includes the following links:

  • Preview Website – This link takes you to a preview of your website.
  • Website Settings – This link returns you to the Settings interface.

Preview Your Website

After you enable the preview link, you can preview your website using one of the following methods:

  • Click the preview link URL in the Domian Name section of the Settings interface (Manage Website > Settings).
  • Click Preview Website in the Preview Link Enabled notification.

A preview of your website will open in a new tab.

Note:

Your preview website is not included in search engine results, even if you have Search engine indexing toggled on in the Tools section of the Settings interface (Manage Website > Settings).
