Import My Website (Beta)

WP Squared now includes Import My Website, a self-service tool that allows your customers to migrate their existing WordPress® sites to your server by providing their WordPress admin credentials. This reduces the support burden on your team and makes it easier for customers to move their sites to your hosting environment. The feature is available in Beta and can be enabled or disabled via WHM Feature Manager.

MAx Cache

We added support for MAx Cache, a server-level caching module that serves WordPress® pages directly from the web server, running PHP only on cache misses. This delivers faster page loads and lower server resource usage across all WordPress® sites on your server. MAx Cache integrates with the AccelerateWP performance suite and is designed to work alongside popular caching plugins without compatibility tradeoffs. MAx Cache is enabled by default on new servers and will be enabled automatically on existing servers when they upgrade to this version.

Custom SSL Installation

We introduced Custom SSL Installation, a new interface that allows end users to upload and install their own SSL certificates directly within WP Squared. Previously, only server administrators could install third-party certificates. This update gives hosting providers the ability to offer paid SSL certificate options to their customers and gives users more flexibility to secure their sites with the certificate solution that fits their needs.

Critical CSS Generation for AccelerateWP

AccelerateWP on WP Squared now includes automated Critical CSS generation at no additional cost. This feature identifies and prioritises the CSS needed to render above-the-fold content, improving page load performance and Core Web Vitals scores for WordPress® sites on your server.

Romanian and Indonesian Language Support

We introduced Romanian and Indonesian language support for WP Squared.

Plugins and Themes Update Notifications

WP Squared now displays a notification indicator on the Plugins and Themes tabs when updates are available or recommended plugins are missing, making it easier to keep sites current at a glance.

Already have your domain, but the DNS isn’t pointing to the server yet? The new Preview Links feature provides a temporary link that allows you to access and manage your WordPress® site directly on your WP Squared server. You can build, configure, migrate content, or simply preview your site exactly as it will appear before updating your domain’s DNS and going live.

Improved Onboarding Experience

When creating a new WordPress website, users can now select the Walk Me Through option for a guided experience. This feature uses Extendify’s AI-powered onboarding process to help you quickly build a professional-looking site. Users are guided step by step and can choose from a wide range of pre-built templates tailored for different industries and purposes — making it easier than ever to get your website online.

UI Performance Improvements

We’ve introduced multiple optimizations to improve the responsiveness and loading speed of the WP Squared interface, including upgrading Angular from version 18 to 20. This is the first step in a series of enhancements aimed at delivering a smoother experience, especially for users on lower-resourced servers such as VPS environments.

Improved PHP Limits

WP Squared now uses a minimum memory_limit of 256(MB) and a max_execution_time of 300 seconds by default for all PHP versions. This change ensures better performance and stability for WordPress® sites by providing sufficient resources for smooth operations.

Display All Installed PHP Versions

Default PHP Version Bumped to 8.2

We’ve updated the default PHP version for new sites to 8.2. Since WordPress® fully supports PHP 8.x, and 8.2 is the latest stable version, new installations will automatically benefit from improved performance and security.

Add AAAA and SRV Records

The WP Squared Zone Editor now supports adding AAAA (IPv6) and SRV DNS records. You can manage these advanced record types directly within the DNS editor for more comprehensive control.

AccelerateWP and Redis Object Cache Separation

Log Viewer

MySQL Governor gives server owners peace of mind, knowing that their server is protected from potential abuse and server overload. Enabled by default, MySQL Governor monitors MySQL usage to throttle abusers, preventing overload and improving overall performance.
